The amazing RS Wags and I took out the silver podium at RTDC this year!! Yes 2nd overall!!
After a difficult 4th round on Saturday night (9/11/24) with a miss for the first half the night, I still managed a 3rd place finish on the night, and behind 2 tough competitors!
Andrew Best in the Focus RS and @97skids in the amazing GC8, both supreme competitors.
Biggest thanks goes to my mentor and bestie Ben Binskin who's always so supportive, unfortunately he could not attend Round 4, so results may have differed....
Big thanks to Nick Geracitano and Fernando at Suby Tech as well of course to Josh at jcmrepairs for all the amazing help through the year, couldn't be there without you.
Also to Andrea from GC8 DOC for parts support.
Big thanks to Subaru Australia also at www.subaru.com.au for the most amazing cars and support of Boxer Beauty, next year, bigger things to come!
Also a shout out to all of you amazing customers who left tips in support of the RS, your initials will be featured on the car in the next season.
Yes, it's going to run possibly 3 championships next year, hopefully we can sort some niggling bugs with steering, and possibly sort some more power with going back to the original motor. As this was a temporary swap in of a 2nd hand (ks and condition unknown) GT legacy (still identical closed deck block) but with original heads, so there's that to account for!
The original gearbox and diff never broke, but my good friend Miles Hey kindly donated a 3.54 Bugeye WRX box and matching rear LSD and new Excedy clutch and that's made a world of difference and you are amazing for doing that Miles!
She's basically stock power, has a Z4 ECU, remote coils and a 3" TBE, but other than that, all she has is a modern electric WAIC pump and for the drivetrain, GC8 Alloy LCAs, HSD coilovers, whiteline sway at rear with whiteline drop links, an STI quickrack, and up front, nolathane bushes and STI sway links, also has 4pot/2pot conversion with T2 rear rotors and Brembo front rotors, pads are all street Brembo.
She also runs full interior and I don't remove the spare. But probably the best change was going to Michelin PilotSport 5s, they are perfectly matched!
Big thanks to the RTDC committee and other competitors, really appreciate the competition and the event management, run perfectly each time.
Anyway, get out there, the RS is a sublime car for all forms of motorsport, you will see! But thanks again to everyone for supporting @88boxerbeauty !!!
